D.C. police arrested a 22-year-old Las Vegas woman Tuesday in connection with the sexual assault of a man inside a Northeast Washington convenience store last month.

Authorities said officers found the woman, identified as Ayanna Marie Knight, after a pedestrian spotted her. She was charged with third-degree assault.

Police said Knight and an accomplice, who has yet to be identified, assaulted a man in the 1700 block of New York Avenue NE in the Ivy City neighborhood.

Around 4 p.m. on Oct. 7, the women made advances and danced in a sexually suggestive manner on a man near the Shell gas station Food Mart checkout counter.

The pair alternately pushed against the man and grabbed or touched him, and one woman put her arms around his shoulder as he tried to move away. Police said the man filed a complaint.

Investigators are still searching for the second woman, a department spokesman said.
