One person was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon after a dispute in a liquor store in the small Prince George’s County city of Seat Pleasant, authorities said.
The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. inside the store in the 6400 block of Central Avenue, said Devan A. Martin, the chief of the Seat Pleasant Police Department. The victim was struck by a single shot, the chief said.
Martin indicated that the victim was male but would give no name or age until relatives could be notified.
The subject of the dispute could not immediately be learned.
The store is near the Addison Road-Seat Pleasant Metrorail station. Seat Pleasant has a population of about 4,700 and is just east of the District.
