Fairfax County police said they’re investigating a homicide after a man was found with upper body trauma in a Centreville residential neighborhood Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to a call in the 13000 block of Jeb Stuart Square around 5:15 a.m., after a delivery driver reported finding an “unresponsive man on the street,” police said. The man was pronounced dead there.

Police said they are working to identify the man and how he died. It’s unclear how he ended up at the location, and police have not said whether the death was the result of a robbery, domestic incident or something else. No weapons were found.

According to police, the man is 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 and was wearing a black sweatshirt with a design featuring a skull and snake. They asked anyone who recognizes the design to call detectives.

No arrests have been made.
