A man from Tennessee was shot and killed Sunday in Southeast Washington, the D.C. police said.

Albert Smith, 21, of Grand Junction, Tenn., was shot about 7:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of Congress Street SE, police said. He died at a hospital, they said.

A second man was also found shot on Congress Street, the police said. They said his injuries were not life-threatening.

No information was available about suspects or motive.

Congress Street is a residential street in the Congress Heights area. Grand Junction is a small town in southwest Tennessee, near the border with Mississippi.
