A head-on collision Tuesday afternoon on the Suitland Parkway put four people in the hospital, two of them children, authorities said.
The Prince George’s County Fire Department tweeted news of the crash at Suitland Parkway and Naylor Road about 1:15 p.m.
The incident was a head-on collision, a fire department spokesman said, that caused one person to be ejected from a vehicle and another person to be trapped inside.
Two adults were transported to a local trauma center, and one was sent by helicopter, the spokesman said. Two children were also transported to a local pediatric trauma center.
No further information about the crash or its cause was immediately available.
The crash temporarily closed all lanes of the Suitland Parkway, according to tweets from the Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination Program, but travel in both directions had resumed by about 3:20 p.m.
