Two Maryland men were charged with first-degree murder following the fatal shooting of another man in Prince George’s County in June, police said.

At around 8:40 p.m. on June 6, officers responded to the 5200 block of Leverett Street in Oxon Hill for the report of a shooting, Prince George’s County police said in a statement. They found 26-year-old Shahim Body of Oxon Hill suffering from gunshot wounds, and he died hours later in a hospital, the statement said.

On Monday, police said they arrested 25-year-old Jarrett Jackson of Fort Washington and 28-year-old Jarrell Jackson of Oxon Hill in connection with the killing, which was related to an ongoing dispute between the suspects and the group the victim was with. They were charged with first-degree murder and related charges, according to police.
