A man and a woman were shot Monday in an apartment in the Chevy Chase area of Montgomery County in what police are investigating as a home-invasion robbery.
The incident did not appear random, police said.
The victims suffered injuries that were not considered life threatening, according to police. The incident occurred about 4 a.m. in the 8400 block of Chevy Chase Lake Terrace.
Police said two people, both male with their faces concealed, went into the apartment and at least one of them showed a gun. A struggle broke out, and the victims were shot, police said.
