Someone using a BB or pellet gun shot out windows in five vehicles, including a Montgomery County Ride On bus, Friday evening on Interstate 270, police said.
No one was injured, but it was the second time in 10 days that vehicle windows have been shot out on I-270, according to Maryland State Police. All of the incidents have occurred between Montrose Road and Interstate 370.
On Friday, the Ride On bus and three other vehicles were in the northbound main lanes shortly after 8 p.m. when they were hit south of I-370, police said. The fifth vehicle was heading south in the local lanes just north of Montrose Road. All of the shots were fired into windows on the drivers’ side, police said.
Police are asking anyone who sees anything suspicious to call them with a vehicle description and tag number at 301-424-2101.
