A woman was arrested Friday after adding a cleaning agent to a coffee maker in Loudoun County, police said.

On Oct. 13, the Loudoun County sheriff received a complaint accusing 32-year-old Mayda E. Rivera-Juarez of Sterling, a former employee of a business in the 45000 block of Ocean Court in Sterling, of pouring a cleaning agent into a coffee maker over several weeks, and several employees said they had fallen ill, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
