A woman was fatally stabbed on New Year's Day in Brentwood, Md., and her husband has been arrested in connection with her killing, police said.
Shortly after 8 a.m. Monday, officers responded to the 4500 block of 38th Place for the report of a domestic-related assault and found Lisbet Mendez, 24, suffering from stab wounds, according to Prince George's County police. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
