Shotgun-toting man robs woman at Tysons ATM

Police are looking for an armed suspect who robbed a woman at a Bank of America ATM in Tysons on Sunday night.

Fairfax County police said the incident happened about 8:45 p.m. as a 37-year-old woman was in an ATM vestibule in the 8300 block of Greensboro Drive. Police said the suspect approached the woman from behind, pulled out a shotgun and demanded money.

The woman was not injured, but the suspect fled with her purse, police said.

The robbery was captured on surveillance video and the suspect was seen getting into a four-door SUV equipped with a roof rack and exterior spare tire. Police said the vehicle resembled a Honda CRV, was a dark color and had Virginia plates. The suspect was dressed in jeans, a dark hoodie and jacket, and had his face covered.
