Ryon Ct., Aug. 25. A man was arrested in connection with the robbery of a newspaper delivery worker Aug. 3. A Waldorf man, 21, was charged with robbery, first-and second-degree assault, theft and motor vehicle theft. Four other men also have been charged in connection with the incident.

Waldorf area, 9:19 a.m. Aug. 26. Police, responding to a report of a vehicle break-in at a motel, stopped a vehicle that pulled into the parking lot during the investigation. A Lothian woman, 42, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. A passenger in the vehicle, a 37-year-old Temple Hills man, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.
Riva Pl., 10600 block, 9:15 p.m. Aug. 25. Two people wearing masks threatened a woman and robbed her of cash.
Golden Beach area, Aug. 27 to Aug. 28. Property was stolen from numerous vehicles overnight.
Lawrence Ave., Aug. 24. During an argument at a residence, a woman threatened an acquaintance with a cane. A Leonardtown woman, 22, was charged with second-degree assault and hindering. No injuries were reported.
Tenby Dr., Aug. 23. During an argument, a man grabbed an acquaintance by the throat. A 31-year-old man was charged with second-degree assault.
Hill Dr., Aug. 25. A residence was entered by pushing an air conditioner through a rear window. A Windsor Mill man, 24, was arrested at the scene on charges of first-degree burglary and destruction of property.
Mechanicsville area, Aug. 26. A woman struck a police officer responding to a report of a disturbance at a bar. A 23-year-old Hollywood woman was charged with second-degree assault. No serious injuries were reported.
Bayne Rd., Aug. 27. During an argument, a woman struck an acquaintance in the head. A 23-year-old Ridge woman was charged with second-degree assault.
Ridge area, 10:50 p.m. Aug. 28. A gunman demanded cash from a woman who had just left a residence but then fled empty-handed in a vehicle. A Lexington Park man, 36, was charged with first- and second-degree assault and attempted robbery. A Lexington Park man, 27, was charged with being an accessory after the fact.
