ARSONS

Chesapeake Ave., 10:07 p.m. April 2. A man, 24, set fire to clothing belonging to his wife inside their home. He was charged with first-degree assault and malicious burning of personal property worth less than $500.

Ashwood Dr., March 27 to March 28. A wallet and cellphone were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Briscoe Turn Rd., 9:20 p.m. March 29. Firecrackers were thrown at a vehicle parked at a residence.

Hallowing Point Rd., 5 to 9:50 p.m. March 29. Cash was stolen from a home.

J.W. Williams Rd., March 18 to March 26. A water pump was stolen from a construction site.

Solomons Island Rd., 5:44 p.m. March 27. A Lexington Park woman, 18, left a restaurant without paying.

VANDALISM

Solomons Island Rd., March 23 to March 24. A bench outside a veterinary clinic was damaged.

SUNDERLAND AREA
ROBBERIES

Hardesty Rd., 9:35 p.m. March 15. Two men assaulted another man with a metal object, robbed him of cash and other items and fled. The man was flown to the University of Maryland Medical Center’s shock trauma unity in Baltimore. Two North Beach men, 33 and 52, were charged with robbery, armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault, intent to injure with a dangerous weapon and theft of less than $1,000.

Arthur Ross Pl., 4100 block, 1:15 p.m. March 28. A resident arrived home to find a rear door broken and two males near it. The men fled when confronted.

ASSAULTS

Pomonkey Way, 600 block, 9:56 p.m. March 31. Shots were fired at people playing basketball. An investigation found it was not a random act.

WALDORF AREA
ASSAULTS

St. Charles Towne Center, 6:30 p.m. March 30. During an argument, a man. 21. was stabbed in the upper body. A surveillance photo from a store showed the assailant leaving with a man and a woman.

ROBBERIES

Underwood Ct., 4800 block, 3 a.m. March 30. A woman was robbed of her purse at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Hope Cir., 2200 block, 3 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. March 31. Electronic items were stolen from a home entered by prying open a window screen.

Promenade Pl., 3500 block, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. April 1. A motorcycle was stolen.

SEXUAL ABUSE

Great Mills, April 2. A Great Mills man, 30, was charged with sexual abuse of a minor from August 2012 to March 2013.
