Charlotte Hall, Sept. 17. A houseguest stole prescription drugs. A Prince Frederick man, 38, was charged with theft of less than $1,000 and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Great Mills, Sept. 22. During an argument, a man punched an acquaintance in the back of the head and allegedly attempted to strangle him. A Great Mills man, 24, was charged with second-degree assault.
Leonardtown, 5:14 a.m. Sept. 23. A woman allowed an acquaintance to sleep on a couch in her home. She was awakened when the man sexually assaulted her. A man, 38, of no fixed address, was charged with second-degree rape, third- and fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault.
Leonardtown, Sept. 21. During an argument, a man assaulted an acquaintance. A Leonardtown man, 38, was charged with second-degree assault.
Leonardtown, Sept. 25. During a card game at a detention center, two inmates assaulted each other. A Lexington Park man, 25, and a Leonardtown man were charged with second-degree assault.
Leonardtown, Sept. 25. An inmate at a detention center kicked an officer in the legs and face. A Lexington Park man, 28, was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree assault on a Division of Corrections employee.
Leonardtown, Sept. 26. A Leonardtown man, 31, was arrested in connection with residential burglaries. He was charged with three counts of first-degree burglary and three counts of theft of $1000 to $10,000
Lexington Park, Sept. 21. During an argument, a woman pushed an acquaintance and struck the person in the face with an object. A half of a Valium pill was found in her wallet during a search at the detention center. A Lexington Park woman, 32, was charged with second-degree assault, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of contraband in a place of confinement.
Lexington Park, Sept. 21. A man standing in front of his home was punched in the face and poked in the chest with a tire iron. A Lexington Park man, 30, was charged with first- and second-degree assault.
Lexington Park, Sept. 24. During an argument, a man hit an acquaintance in the stomach several times with a power strip. When the acquaintance fled to a bathroom, the man kicked the bathroom door and stabbed the door with a kitchen knife. When the acquaintance, who was holding a child, attempted to leave the residence, the man grabbed him. A Lexington Park man, 24, was charged with assault, reckless endangerment, destruction of property, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia.
Lexington Park, 7:55 p.m. Sept. 26. During a fight at a park between two football players, parents became involved, and a man held down the mother of a youth while his wife repeatedly hit the woman in the face with her fist. She also picked up a piece of broken glass from the woman’s eyeglasses and cut her face. The youths were charged with second-degree assault. A Park Hall man, 46, was charged with second-degree assault by application and an alcohol violation. A Park Hall woman, 36, was charged with first- and second-degree assault, affray-common law and malicious destruction of property worth less than $500.
St. Inigoes, Sept. 25. During an argument, a man assaulted three people. A St. Inigoes man, 24, was charged with three counts of second-degree assault.
