18th St., Jan. 13-24. Two saws were stolen from a vacant residence.

Gordon Stinnett Ave., 4000 block, 7-8 p.m. Jan. 27. A member’s wallet was stolen at a community center while he played basketball.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Dawkins Ct., 12:30 p.m. Jan. 24. A cellphone was stolen from a church parking lot.

Stock Dr., Jan. 28. A registration sticker was stolen from a vehicle.

VEHICLE THEFT

St. John’s Creek Rd., Jan. 23. While away on a business trip, a man’s 2008 Harley Davidson was stolen.

DAMAGED PROPERTY

Bedford Dr., 9:30-10:30 a.m. Jan. 21. A woman reported her car had been possibly keyed while parked at a fitness center. It had not been undetermined whether it was a scratch by key or another vehicle.

OWINGS AREA
THEFT/BREAK-IN

Owings Hill Ct., Dec. 25-Jan. 25. Registration plates were stolen from a utility trailer parked in front of a residence.

PORT REPUBLIC AREA
THEFT/BREAK-IN

Parker’s Creek Rd., 2 a.m. Jan. 27. An attempt was made to enter a business by force at a shopping center.

PRINCE FREDERICK AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Calvert Towne Dr., Jan. 22. A rear license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

Clay Hammond Rd., Jan. 23. A Prince Frederick man was served three active warrants and charged with second-degree burglary and trespassing on private property.

Shore Acres Way, Jan. 28. A resident reported hearing a loud bang from his sliding glass door. Police discovered a large crack in the glass. The cause of the crack is unknown.

Solomons Island Rd. N., 100 block, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Jan. 27. A cellphone charger and medication were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in a parking lot at a discount retail store.

ST. LEONARD AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Oriole Way, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Jan. 23. A Wii game console, video games and controllers, a PlayStation 4, an iPhone 6, an iPhone 6 Plus, an iPod Touch, a half-carton of cigarettes, cash, and a safe containing prescriptions and vehicle titles were stolen from a residence.

St. Leonard Rd., 5:15 p.m. Jan. 25 to 8 a.m. Jan. 26. An attempt was made to enter a business by force.

SUNDERLAND AREA
DAMAGED PROPERTY

Victoria Lane, 4:30 p.m. Jan. 20 to 8 a.m. Jan. 21. Mailboxes at two residences were damaged.

ARRESTS

Waldorf area, Jan. 25. A former high school substitute teacher was arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a minor and solicitation of a minor.

Krefeld Lane, 3100 block, 5:14 p.m. Jan. 25. A woman was arrested and charged with second-degree child abuse, and first- and second-degree assault.

RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT

Hackney Lane, 2800 block, 1 p.m. Jan. 27. A homeowner reported what appeared to be a bullet hole in the wall of a bathroom in the residence. Police recovered a bullet.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Adams Rd., 1200 block, 8:23 a.m. Jan. 26. A 33-year-old Upper Marlboro man was arrested and charged with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary.

Promenade Pl., Spearfish Pl., and Sugarberry Dr., midnight to 6 a.m. Jan. 29. A computer, cellphone chargers and shoes were among items stolen from multiple unlocked vehicles.

Louis Bailey Rd., 37000 block, Jan. 21. A 26-year-old Avenue man was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and malicious destruction of property.

Great Mills Lane, 21000 block, Jan. 22. A 56-year-old Lexington Park man was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.

Great Mills Rd., 21000 block, Jan. 25. A 27-year-old Leonardtown man was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.

Liberty St., 21000 block, Jan. 22. A 22-year-old Lexington Park man was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
