DAMAGED PROPERTY

Susan Lane, 6:45-8:40 p.m. April 12. A screen door at a residence was spray-painted.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Geronimo Rd., 10:30-11 a.m. April 11. A man accidentally left his iPod Touch in a restroom at a grocery store. When he returned to retrieve it, the device was gone.

White Sands Dr., 10 a.m. April 14 to 6 p.m. April 15. A rear tag was stolen from a vehicle.

PRINCE FREDERICK AREA
THEFT/BREAK-IN

Double Oak Rd., March 9 to April 11. A lock box attached to a doorknob at a residence was pried open and the key was taken.

ST. LEONARD AREA
ARREST

St. Leonard Rd., April 11. A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of paraphernalia, first-degree burglary, theft and trespassing.

WALDORF AREA
ARREST

Oak Manor Dr., 4:15 p.m. April 12. A man broke into the residence of a female acquaintance, assaulted her, took the woman’s cellphone and fled. The 22-year-old Waldorf man was arrested and charged with assault, robbery, home invasion, breaking and entering and theft.

LEXINGTON PARK AREA
HOMICIDE

Liberty St., April 18. A man at a residence was shot once in the torso after a confrontation. The 29-year-old St. Mary’s man was taken to a hospital where he died.

PARK HALL AREA
WEAPONS VIOLATION

Hermanville Rd., 20000 block, April 18. A male student was arrested at an elementary school after a staff member was alerted that the boy brought a weapon to school. Police found a loaded semiautomatic handgun in his book bag. He was charged with possessing a dangerous weapon on school property, handgun on person and disturbing school operations.
