H.G. Trueman Rd., 11800 block, April 23. A 33-year-old California man was arrested and charged with theft.

Sandy Point Rd., April 27. Someone attempted to enter a residence.

Sheridan Point Rd., April 23. Two Holley carburetors were stolen from a detached garage.

SOLOMONS AREA
ARREST

H.G. Trueman Rd., 13300 block, April 23. A 28-year-old Lexington Park man was arrested and charged him with handgun on person and handgun in vehicle.

POMFRET AREA
ARRESTS

Marshall Corner Rd., 7100 block, 7:20 a.m. April 30. Six students at a high school got into an altercation. They were charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, disruption of school activities and affray. Two other youths face charges as well.

WALDORF AREA
ARREST

Mall Cir., 11200 block, 11:18 a.m. April 25. A 51-year-old Ownings Mills man was arrested and charged with felony theft, theft scheme, resisting arrest and other related charges.

HOMICIDE

Stream Vista Way, 2200 block, 10 p.m. May 1. A man was accosted and fatally shot. Police said the shooting was not random.

St. Mary's County

First Colony Way, 45100 block, April 18. A woman and a male left a retail store with a Bissell vacuum cleaner in the shopping cart. They did not buy the merchandise.

Miramar Way, 45400 block, April 1. Two males stole two Bluetooth speakers from a discount retail store.
