Hughesville Manor Dr., 12 to 2 a.m. July 22. A dirt bike and other items were stolen from a shed.

Matthews Manor Rd., 6 p.m. July 18. A homeowner, while letting her dog out, saw a male trying to pry open a lock on a shed. The dog jumped on the male and appeared to bite him. He fled into woods.

WALDORF AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Crain Hwy., 1:23 p.m. July 24. Two males at a home improvement store loaded drills into a shopping cart, left the store and fled in a vehicle.

Damselfish Ct., July 23 to 24. Cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Guilford Dr., 12:20 p.m. July 23. Cash was stolen from vehicles.

Middletown Rd., 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. July 18. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.

Pinefield Rd., 9:53 p.m. July 23. Wine was stolen from a home, and CDs were stolen from a vehicle at the home. A Waldorf man, 23, was charged with burglary and theft.

SEX OFFENSE

Plaza Way, 1 p.m. July 18. A man groped a woman in the parking lot of a grocery store. A Waldorf man, 30, was charged with fourth-degree sex offense.

VANDALISM

Heathcote Rd., 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 23. A wall and sidewalk were spray-painted.
