Three separate street robberies in which cellphones were taken at gunpoint occurred in a section of Prince George’s County on Friday and Saturday nights, and police said they have arrested three suspects.

Police said all three lived in separate apartments on the same block in the District. However, online court records listed only two there: both in one building but on different floors.

The first robbery occurred about 11:15 p.m. Friday in the 6800 block of Riverdale Road in the Riverdale area. A phone, money and shoes were taken from a man delivering food, police said.

Saturday night’s victims were robbed as they returned home about 11:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of 55th Avenue in the Rogers Heights area, about two miles southwest of the first crime. About 25 minutes later, someone walking in the 6300 block of Auburn Avenue was also robbed, police said. The address is about a half-mile from the first holdup.

Police said Marcus Jay Ford, 23; Anthony Tyrell Cooper, 20; and Tyewon Lamente Batchelor, 20, were arrested in connection with the robberies.

Police said they seized a revolver and many stolen items.

Court records list Ford and Batchelor in different apartments in the same building in the 900 block of Eastern Avenue NE. The records listed Cooper in the 2300 block of Third Street NE, also in the District.

Each has been charged with at least one robbery, the records showed.

A county police captain said officers in a robbery suppression team worked on the case “for nearly 40 straight hours.”
