SUV crashes into a Wendy’s in Prince George’s

An SUV crashed into a fast-food restaurant in Prince George’s County on Friday night, scattering debris, knocking over chairs and tables, and injuring five people.

Those injured appeared to be patrons, according to fire department spokesman Mark E. Brady. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

The SUV came to rest entirely inside the Wendy’s restaurant in the 9400 block of Annapolis Road in the Enterprise shopping center in the Lanham-Seabrook area.

Police said it was unclear why the vehicle swerved into the restaurant, which is about 100 feet from the roadway. Authorities said they were investigating.

In an odd twist, the burgundy color of the vehicle seemed to match the burgundy of the circular seats of the restaurant’s white, spindle-back chairs.
