Teenage girls shot at firehouse party

Two teenage girls were shot during a party at a volunteer firehouse in Brandywine on Friday night, Prince George’s County police said.

Officers were called to the scene of the nonfatal shootings in the 14000 block of Brandywine Road about 11:20 p.m., police said. The victims were 14 and 15 years old.

A preliminary investigation indicated that several juveniles began fighting at the party for unknown reasons, police said. The fight spilled outside, where someone opened fire with a handgun, hitting the teens.

Detectives said they believe neither victim was involved in the fight.

Anyone with information on this case or a suspect is urged to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Regional Investigation Division, Southern Region at 301-749-5064.
