Three churches in Nokesville were burglarized in one night earlier this week. Police say one burglar or a group of burglars was likely behind all three crimes.

An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from Victory Baptist Church on Aden Road and from Nokesville United Methodist Church, which is about a third of a mile down the same road. At the second church, a safe was also stolen.

A basement window was pried open at Asbury United Methodist Church, which is less than four miles away from the other two houses of worship. No property was reported missing there.

The burglar or burglars seem to have entered all three buildings by breaking or prying open windows late at night on Sunday or early Monday.

Prince William County Police spokesman Jonathan Perok said that police do not have any suspect yet. “The number in one night is odd,” he said. “We’re almost positive they’re related.”
