Tip leads authorities to arrest man in New York in connection with 2012 Langley Park slaying

Authorities arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a 2012 slaying in Langley Park apartments, police said Friday.

A tip led authorities to Rudy Ismael Manchame-Guerra in New York, said Prince George’s County Police.

Police said Manchame-Guerra admitted he was involved in the 2012 killing of 23-year-old Saul Felipe-Augustine. The July shooting stemmed from an argument between the pair, authorities said.

On the evening of July 14, 2012, officers were called to the 1400 block of Kanawha Street for a shooting. Authorities found Felipe-Augustine in an apartment building hallway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, police said, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Manchame-Guerra, who was taken into custody Thursday by Nassau County Police Department, is awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County, authorities said.
