Coming up today in the D.C. area:

Rain recedes: Some areas may see a rogue rain shower this morning, but skies should begin to clear by midday.

Murder trial: A D.C. judge is expected to decide whether the trial of Albrecht Muth, accused of killing his 91-year-old wife, will proceed.

Pachyderms on parade: Elephants from the Barnum & Bailey circus will walk from Capitol Hill to the Verizon Center tonight, prompting street closures downtown.

School safety: Alexandria officials will host a community meeting on school safety at 7 p.m. at T.C. Williams High School.
