Race to replace Jim Moran could attract a long list of candidates

Rep. James P. Moran’s decision to retire after more than two decades in Congress ensures that there will be a huge number of candidates eager to take his Northern Virginia seat. The district’s heavy Democratic tilt means that party’s primary could be especially crowded. Here are the candidates who might consider running:
