Washington Metropolitan High School closed due to power outage
As many D.C. students wake up wondering if there’s a snow day in their future, school officials announced that one school will be closed due to a power outage.
Washington Metropolitan High School is closed Thursday because of the lack of power.
All other public schools in the District will open as scheduled, but parents have the option to pick up their children before dismissal if weather conditions worsen, officials noted.
Snow is expected to arrive in the region Thursday afternoon, but the latest weather models indicate that there won’t be significant accumulation in the District.
