Woman sexually assaulted on Wisconsin Avenue in Tenleytown

A tattooed man attacked and sexually assaulted a woman just before midnight Tuesday night as she walked in the Tenleytown area of Northwest Washington, D.C. police said.

As the woman walked in the 4200 block of Wisconsin Avenue about 11:45 p.m., the assailant grabbed her from behind and dragged her behind a building, where he sexually assaulted her, officials said.

Police described the man as Hispanic, about 30 to 40 years old, about 6 feet tall to 6-foot-2, and weighing 200 to 250 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt with writing on the back, which may have been in Spanish.
