Young father killed after domestic argument

A 22-year-old Oxon Hill man was shot and killed Sunday in the Hillcrest Heights area, the Prince George’s County police said.

Jerome Z. Peters was killed in the 2900 block of St. Clair Drive about 1:15 a.m., the police said. They said a preliminary investigation suggested that the killing was “domestic related.”

Police said Peters was at the home of a family member caring for his young child. The child’s mother and a male acquaintance arrived to pick up the child, and an argument followed between the two men, the police said.
