A Maryland State Trooper helped save the life of a baby in distress along Route 100 Monday, reports NBC 4.

Sergeant Daniel McLain, a 20-year-veteran of the force, pulled over on the state highway near Pasadena to assist a disabled vehicle at 7:45 a.m. Monday morning and spotted a woman in the back seat of the car holding a baby with the umbilical cord wrapped around its neck.  The baby was blue in color. McLain administered CPR and in a few minutes the baby began breathing.
