President Biden on Wednesday pledged that the federal government will help Kentucky with 100 percent of its costs related to the tornadoes for the first 30 days, marking another significant commitment to helping the state rebuild since he approved its emergency declaration.

Biden said the costs will cover debris removal, law enforcement overtime and emergency personnel in Kentucky, which was the hardest-hit by multiple tornadoes that touched down last across more than several states.
