Peak wind gusts from Harvey hit 130 miles per hour

Though Harvey’s winds lessened as it moved inland, several Texas coastal weather stations clocked gusts over 100 miles per hour Friday night and early Saturday.

The strongest winds were focused just northeast of Corpus Christi, around Rockport. The highest reading of 132 mph was registered at Port Aransas.
