The Nation’s Weather for Saturday, May 18, 2019

Sunny, warm weather will continue over the Southeast while

expanding northward into the Ohio Valley tomorrow. Spotty

showers and thunderstorms can bubble up amid the warmth over

the central and southern Appalachians. New England will have

dry, seasonable weather. Meanwhile, the central and southern

Plains will face another day of severe weather and the

threat for tornadoes. A broad area of soaking rain will set

up across the northern Plains and Upper Midwest. Wet

snowflakes can mix with rain in Montana while showery

weather dampens the central Rockies. Yet another rare May

rainstorm is forecast to target Northern and Central

California, with showers extending northward into Oregon.

Dry, cool weather will continue across the Desert Southwest.
