Lady Gaga went to Mass on Sunday, and she liked what she heard. “I was so moved today,” she wrote in an Instagram post. She quoted her priest: “The Eucharist is not a prize for the perfect but the food that God gives us.”

And then, apparently, she and her priest went out for some more humble food. The star singer posted a photo of the two of them at lunch together.

Gaga’s priest is just the latest member of the clergy to make an appearance in the Instagram feeds of the most famous members of their flock.

Justin Bieber said that while he lunched with his “homie” Carl Lentz — the pastor at New York City’s Hillsong, a church known for the many celebrities in its pews — he spent some time “talking bout our savior Jesus Christ.”

Rich Wilkerson Jr., a Miami pastor with a celebrity following, performed the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West — and got a great Instagram post out of it.

And in Houston, Beyoncé attends St. John’s United Methodist Church, where she has coordinated a food drive with Pastor Rudy Rasmus.

Katy Perry and the Jonas brothers hang out with pastors whenever they go home — their parents.
