IBISWorld, an independent publisher of U.S. industry research, has a new report out about 10 leading wage-earning industries across the finance, healthcare and tech sectors that need highly-educated and skilled workers and whose jobs require years of training and sophisticated skills.
The report says:
These 10 industries commonly require a few things of their employees: specialized skill sets, the ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and techniques and, sometimes, putting in years of postgraduate study. In many cases, reaching the highest payouts in these industries means dedicating more than the standard 40 hours per week to the job. But these industries’ favorable outlooks, their high wages and the essential nature of duties performed by financial analysts and managers, programmers, engineers and physicians make the costs of earning a position in these industries worth it.
