St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio, is going to have some gymnasium.

Miami Heat basketball star LeBron James is giving $1 million to his old high school in his hometown to renovate the gym, according to ESPN. He still spend his summers training at the school.

James attended the school from 1999-2003, where he led the team to three titles, including an unofficial national title in 2003. The new facility will be called, not surprisingly, the LeBron James Arena. The money is being donated through the basketball star’s James Family Foundation.

The school’s Webs ite has a post thanking James for his donation.

James played for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2003-10, then jointed the Miami Heat.

I’ve written before about James because of the unusual way he focuses himself before games (including during the final series in which he led his team to the National Basketball Association championship): He reads books. Tell the kids.
