A blizzard warning did little to slow down budding fashion tycoon Jason Wu. His Fall 2013 show went on as planned Friday despite the ominous weather.

The designer — who announced a new partnership with Lancome earlier this month — has been in the spotlight after First Lady Michelle Obama chose to wear his design for a second time on the night of inauguration.

Wu, along with Lancome’s Diane Kendal, went dark and geometric with the eye makeup, which suited the deep navies and blacks that dominated the collection.

Hair was sleek and tucked in at the nape of the neck.

Fur and leather trims were sprinkled through several of the garments in his latest collection, as was the case with a handful of shows Thursday.

The high, buttoned-up collars that have been featured in several of his collections, including the popular line for Target, topped several of the opening looks.

Those looking for flowing gowns reminiscent of the ruby chiffon and velvet inaugural gown will be pleased with the last few looks.

A shimmering white gown with mesh panel and delicate peplum as one of the stand-outs, along with a similar cobalt blue gown that closed the show.
