But, don’t worry. It wasn’t a real Sol LeWitt.

The official statement from National Gallery of Art spokesperson, Deborah Ziska: “Sol LeWitt’s ‘Wall Drawing #681 C’ became detached from the wall at 11:44 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013 on the concourse level of the East Building of the National Gallery of Art. The drawing is a temporary installation of the artwork that is represented in the Gallery’s collection by a certificate and a diagram. A team of artists from LeWitt’s studio executed this drawing in August of 1993. The drawing is being fully de-installed and will no longer be on view as of February 16, 2013.”
