As if the impending weekend weren’t enough to get you through the day, here’s a quick reminder that April 25 is — per everyone’s favorite Sandra Bullock rom-com — the perfect date.

“It’s not too hot and not too cold. All you need is a light jacket!”

Those immortal words are spoken by well-meaning ditz Cheryl (IRL, actress Heather Burns) in “Miss Congeniality” — which came out, astoundingly, in December 2000. But though more than 13 years have passed since the film premiered, Twitter users are engaging in a heart-warming annual ritual wherein they dredge up screenshots and clips of the famous Cheryl scene.

Where is Cheryl now, you ask? Burns, a Chicago native, has appeared on a parade of middling-to-good TV shows — most recently the Sherlock Holmes adaptation “Elementary” and the Jason Schwartzman/Zach Galifianakis detective series, “Bored to Death.” But to us she’ll always be Miss Rhode Island, the nicest, sweetest, coolest girl at the pageant. Or, you know — something like that.
