5 Seconds of Summer is the next big boy band, and will soon launch an American concert tour opening for current boy-band kingpins, One Direction. But before they hit the stage, the Australian teenagers have a gift for their fans — a viral video.

5SOS (pronounced 5-Sauce if you’re with it) released a YouTube video called “Target Prank” three days ago and it already has more than 700,000 views.

For the prank, band members — Michael, Luke, Calum and Ashton — dressed in red polo shirts and khaki pants and then walked into a Target store as if they were employees. They then hawked their self-titled CD to customers who did not appear to be familiar with the band. When one shopper asked where the microwaves were, a band member pointed him to the music section. “This is our debut album and it comes in four different colors if you like,” Calum says to a customer.

One customer even asks Luke if that’s him on the CD cover.  He denies it.

The album is set to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard album charts.

It is unclear if Target was aware of the prank at the time. The video ends with an ad saying that the album is available at Target in several colors.  Target’s press office did not return calls asking for information on the stunt.
