Today in NBC-on-NBC crime, NBC reality-show star Donald Trump called NBC late-night star Seth Meyers a “total joke” ahead of Meyers’ Emmys-hosting gig on NBC. “He is very awkward with almost no talent. Marbles in his mouth!” concluded Trump. Marbles in his mouth!
Here are some others:
“@Prayformetoo: @realDonaldTrump @amirite_ I have never laughed at one thing from Seth Meyers or Jon Stewart.”
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 25, 2014
“@OjJava: @realDonaldTrump I dont get the whole thing with Seth Meyers either. Kinda bland..”

Trump’s opinion most likely has to do with something other than the Donald’s own, vast (?) experience in the business-tainment world: Trump surely remembers that time Meyers hosted the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in 2011, when Trump was a guest of The Washington Post.
At the dinner, Meyers — at the time, the head writer for “Saturday Night Live” — made a bunch of jokes at Trump’s expense.
Trump did not enjoy it not one bit.
For example: “Donald Trump has been saying that he will run for president as a Republican,” Meyers said. “Which is surprising because I just assumed he was running as a joke.”
The joke was met with surprised laughter and guffaws from the crowd — and stony-faced silence from Trump.
Meyers went on to say: “Donald Trump often appears on Fox, which is ironic, because a fox often appears on Donald Trump’s head.”
And: “Gary Busey said recently that Donald Trump would make a good president. Of course he said the same thing about an old rusty birdcage he found.”
Addressing Trump’s assertion that he has a good relationship with “the blacks,” Meyers said: “Unless the Blacks are a family of white people, I bet he’s mistaken.” The line prompted an audible laugh from the President of the United States (who, by the way, got in a few zingers of his own against Trump).
