This oddly moving Super Bowl commercial remembers the many adventures of Jeep

Chrysler's Super Bowl 50 ad looks back at 75 years of portraits including Marilyn Monroe, Jeff Goldblum, BB King, Aretha Franklin and Bobby Jones. (Video: Chrysler)

The Product: Jeep

The Premise: At first listen, it sounds like the diary of a well-traveled man, reflecting on his life. “I’ve seen things no man should bear and those that every man should dare, from the beaches of Normandy to the far reaches of the earth, in my life I have lived millions of lives.” It’s only when the screen flashes to Jeff Goldblum and the narrator says “I’ve outrun robots and danced with dinosaurs,” that we start to wonder what this ad is really selling.

The Verdict: Who knew a Jeep commercial could be so moving?
