In a series of tweets, two stars of the hit HBO show “Silicon Valley” recounted a Friday night run-in with fans of President-elect Donald Trump in a bar in Los Angeles. Kumail Nanjiani and Thomas Middleditch, who play software engineers in the series, had both been outspoken supporters of Hillary Clinton in the run-up to the election.

According to Nanjiani, who plays engineer Dinesh Chugtai, a couple of 20-something men approached him and Middleditch, who plays programmer Richard Hendricks, while they were having drinks in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles. The men denounced the actors’ opposition to Trump and called them “cucks,” a term favored by the alt-right that implies that someone is a wimp.
