Providing our readers with a space to discuss current events and interact with each other (and with us) is important to us at The Washington Post.

To learn more about how we can better serve you in our comment threads and other digital interactive spaces, we’re asking interested commenters and comment readers to complete a survey about your experience on The Post.

The survey is being conducted by the Engaging News Project from the University of Texas in Austin, working with The Coral Project, a collaboration between The Post, the New York Times and the Mozilla Foundation, funded by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The Coral Project aims to help publishers create and enliven communities around their journalism.

The results of this survey will help us improve our digital discussion spaces. Survey data from Post readers also will be combined with responses from readers at news organizations from across the country to get a broader sense of commenting nationwide.
