On Friday, we’re launching a weekly newsletter dedicated to the best conversations and comments on The Washington Post. And I can’t wait to get started.
Here at The Post, our team reads thousands of comments submitted every day by people sharing personal stories as parents, voicing their support for a policy or debating the next big show on Netflix. This newsletter will be a way to highlight the most interesting discussions around Washington Post journalism.
The newsletter will have three parts: one major conversation, a few popular comments from across the site, and then two or three places where you can go right now to join a discussion. I’ll select comments by looking at reader likes, replies by other readers and a commenter’s submission history — and by reading lots of comments myself.
Read These Comments will publish every Friday afternoon. You can sign up for the first newsletter coming this week by going here.
If you see a comment that we should highlight, you’ve got two ways to let us know: clicking the like button or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you email, please put “newsletter” in the subject line.
We’ve got big plans to improve the commenting experience on The Post this year, many of them drawn from reader suggestions. We’re eager to hear your thoughts about comments in the comment section on this post or via email.
Have any questions or thoughts about the newsletter? Share them in the comments section below — and don’t forget to sign up.
