This evening is pleasant and rain tries to hold off through the morning commute.

The system may develop over the southern gulf, then spread rain to the Gulf Coast this weekend and eventually farther north.

After widespread 40s tonight, Tuesday's high temperatures may be slightly lower than we got today.

Damaging winds are likely from fast-moving storm Wednesday night.

Typhoon Hagibis produced a record deluge that caused deadly flooding in highly populated areas of Japan.

A soaking is possible or just a few showers.

Moisture from a Pacific system may reach west Texas, while a second system could enhance rain along the Gulf Coast late this week.

The warm sunny afternoons and cool, crisp nights to start off this week are hard to beat.

Skies are clear and temperatures are comfortable. A jacket for the late innings might be a good idea.

Old Town Alexandria, Annapolis, and Baltimore all saw flooding Saturday, and more is possible Sunday.

Nature teases us today with some flirtatious showers that continue to play hard-to-get. But we do finally have a shot at some significant rain by Wednesday.
