Temperature Map

Temperatures:Latest D.C. area temperature map. See interactive map on our Weather Wall.

Temperatures barely reached 40 on this first full day of spring, some 15-20 degrees below normal.  A gusty wind from the northwest made it feel like the 20s much of the day.  A very cold night lies ahead with subfreezing temperatures. Friday is several degrees warmer than today, but still unseasonably chilly.

Through Tonight: Clear, breezy at times, and very cold.  Lows range from the low 20s in the colder suburbs to the upper 20s downtown.  Everyone should fall below freezing.  With winds from the west at 10-15 mph, wind chills will be in the teens in many locations late tonight and early in the morning.

Tomorrow (Friday): Lots of sunshine, but an airmass more characteristic of winter means another day with temperatures at least 10 degrees below average.  Highs range from 43-48, with a wind from the west at 10-15 mph.
