Facebook reader Meredith Massey captured a configuration of snow most of us have probably never seen before. Monday’s heavy wet snow could only cling to a slide at a park in Riverdale, Md. so long. As temperatures climbed above freezing, it collapsed into almost perfect folds on the ground.
The snow in Washington, D.C. was the largest so late in the season since 1990 and ended a record-setting 789 day streak without at least one inch of snow in a calendar day.
