A cold front passing through today should usher in some seasonably pleasant air for the weekend, but first we have a little wet weather to deal with, especially the first half of the day. Then it’s cooler, at least until next week when the warmth attempts to make a comeback into our region. Just how warm? Remains to be seen. Enjoy more seasonable temperatures while you can…
Today (Friday): Looking very cloudy, wet, and slightly muggy. Morning fog shouldn’t be as much of a concern as gusty winds and possibly briefly heavy rain, especially if we get any thundershowers. Your weather-complicated commute can be attributed a notable cold front approaching from the west. Morning seems somewhat wet one way or another (80-90% chance), perhaps even with lingering activity into the afternoon (30-40% chance). Luckily for outdoor plans or evening commuting, conditions should dry as we progress. High temperatures have a potentially large range depending on efficient clearing and warming off rain-cooled morning lows. We may end up closer to 70 on the low end, or mid-to-upper 70s on the high end. Confidence: Medium
Tonight: We might actually get a better and better shot of seeing the moon and/or a few stars, as the night goes on at least. Clouds should really clear out as cooler air filters in. Low temperatures in the mid-40s to around 50 may encourage us to open a window, briefly? But it will be breezy, out of the northwesterly direction. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Saturday): Should have us all excited for a real taste of spring. Just wear your sunscreen, please, as skies reveal a good amount of sunshine amidst the periodic clouds. High temperatures should feel great, and seasonably appropriate, in the mid-60s to around 70. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow night: Mainly clear skies allow temperatures to drop toward the low-to-mid 40s by just before sunrise. Ok, maybe too chilly to open the windows, but I won’t easily forget how I almost turned on the air conditioner recently. Confidence: Medium
Sunday: Should warm up pleasantly again, but it may take until the afternoon to reach the comfortable mid-60s to near 70. Dress in layers if heading out early. Skies should remain clear for most of the day, with only the hint of cirrus clouds arriving late in the afternoon perhaps. A warm front is announcing its approach. Confidence: Medium
A LOOK AHEAD
Sunday night: Looks to be mostly clear—other than some high clouds– and mostly comfortable. Temperatures fall to around 50 downtown, to mid-40s in the calmest, clearest locales outside the Beltway. Confidence: Medium
Monday is a warmth upgrade. Mostly sunny skies, and a warm front having passed through the area, together boost temperatures into the upper 70s to low 80s. Confidence: Low-Medium
Tuesday has an outside chance of a shower, but sunshine should still dominate over any cloud cover, generally speaking. High temperatures keep us from caring about any possible shower or sprinkle because of warmth again in the upper 70s to low 80s. I am thinking we could go higher—but it remains to be seen how strongly high pressure can build into our region. Will it bring slightly muggy air with it, too? Confidence: Low
