A chilly, gloomy morning gave way to beautiful sunshine by late afternoon.  Temperatures responded by reaching around 60. It cools back down into the 40s tonight, but winds from the south give temperatures the big bump up tomorrow, passing 70 before a round of evening showers and storms.

Through Tonight: It’s not a bad evening, with partly cloudy skies and temperatures slowly falling back through the 50s. Overnight lows range from the low 40s in the cooler suburbs to the upper 40s downtown.  Winds are light.

Tomorrow (Wednesday):  The balance of the day is really nice, with ample sunshine and highs into the low-to-mid 70s (even a few upper 70s south of town). Southerly winds are generally in the 10-15 mph range.

High clouds increase in the afternoon, with a line of showers and thunderstorms likely (60 percent chance) in the evening – mainly the 7 to midnight window – starting first in the west and ending last in the east.  Brief downpours and a few strong wind gusts are possible.
