What a day! I personally managed to spend at least a few minutes soaking up the sun, hopefully you did too. This evening’s going to be awesome for any outdoor activities. Best yet, we’re getting paid back for the gloom over recent days with more of this exhilarating weather ahead.
Through Tonight: Mostly clear skies persist through the night as does a light east wind, though it should be lighter overnight than during the day. Temps drop quickly in this fairly dry air mass, so you may want a light jacket after dark. Lows fall to about 43-49.
Tomorrow (Thursday): If you were a fan of today, and how could you not be, tomorrow’s also going to be a fantastic one. Sunny skies mix with light east winds to give us another day with highs ranging from near 70 to the low 70s.
Pollen update: Tree pollen remains high at 282 grains per cubic meter. All other pollens are low, but grasses are expected to climb soon as May is typically the peak month for that.
New climate poll: The Yale Project on Climate Change Communication has released a new poll titled, Extreme Weather and Climate Change in the American Mind. Highlights include: 58 percent say “global warming is affecting weather in the United States”; 2/3rds say weather in the U.S. has been worse in the past several years; and 85 percent reported experiencing extreme weather in the past year.
